About Me

First off, I should state that I am in the process of divorcing, though it is not yet finalized...so I'm technically still "separated!" Now, about me! I'm a true adventurer at heart. I love the great outdoors, the mountains, fresh air. Nothing makes me happier than a good hike with friends (preferably including an apres-hike glass of wine admiring the view)! I'm definitely more of a "doer" and I've checked a fair amount off my bucket list so far: I've summited Kilimanjaro, published a text book chapter, skied the backcountry in Argentina and Chile, put an ice pack on Michael Jordan, hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, climbed all over the world, and lived abroad. Now I'm looking for a partner to continue the adventure with me. Even though I'm happiest in nature, NYC is a great fit for me. I have a lot of energy and a ton of ambition. I'm an entrepreneur and being my own boss is amazing. It allows me find the balance between work and play. I'm very passionate about what I do and can't picture doing anything else. I pride myself on the fact that when I'm old, I can look back at my life and know I helped a lot of people. If you want to know how to run without pain, I'm your girl. But don't ask me for a massage. Please. I'm a big sports fan and I love college football (Go Blue). Not a huge pro-sports person, but I'll watch it with you. Who knows...maybe you'll even sway me to become a fan of your team. In that case, I WILL be that obnoxious person screaming at the screen, so be prepared. Most importantly, I have a great sense of humor and try to surround myself with people who do as well. It's very important to me that I am with someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously and can engage in a battle of wit. I love to laugh, and I think it's really funny when people trip on the sidewalk and then glare back angrily at the ground.
