I am reading the book "The Singularity is Near" by Ray Kurzweil - and I am finding it facinating and inspiring at the same time. The possibilities of this New World intrigue me. I am writing a novel - which reflects the same hopefulness for mankind and our future. I raise children who were unwanted at some point - but are now lovely, and I raise beautiful "floppy" kittens, and loyal tail wagging dogs. We are "doing" Christmas right now - the boys have decorated, and strung zillions of lights on the house - of course I am Jewish but they are not. Any excuse to smile - is fine with me. Gingerbred houses, and apple cider along with Hanuka jelly doughnuts and stories of the Jewish heroes, all fit together at our house. Books are important in my life. They give me freedom to travel mentally (I have traveled physically to many places in the past), reflect, explore, meet new people, and to learn. I remember jokes and tell them well. I collect Videos and DVD's passionately - one of my few vices. I am middle of the road politically - used to be conservative but have evolved. I keep a clean, orderly home. I like to cook. I sew and do crafts, and some woodworking. I like gardening, camping, day trips, time spent with good friends. My parents are gone now, buried in Jerusalem, Israel. I was once married to an Israeli orthodox man, and lived in Jerusalem for 15 years. Did basic training in the Israeli army. I speak fluent Hebrew. I have an elderly sister and brother-in-law in Pennsylvania, and two grown children in California. I love my grandson and send him presents monthly. My friends tell me that I have a big heart, and am fun to be around. I think they are right. I was born in California. I love my new home in AZ.
