About Me

My name is Maxine and I'm fairly new to the triangle area. I moved here last August to pursue my Master's Degree and certification in Teaching Foreign Language. I'm originally from Connecticut, but I've moved around quite a bit in the last 10 years. I absolutely love to travel and getting to experience new cultures and people. I've been lucky enough to be able to travel quite a bit, but I'm always ready for new adventures! I like to think of myself as a very kind and passionate person who loves sharing ideas and spending time with friends and family. I like to get out and explore new places and try new things, but I also love having quiet evenings at home watching a good movie or just hanging out with friends. Sometimes, a rainy day curled up with a hot cup of tea and good book is a great thing :) I have become incredibly passionate about education and teaching and I am thrilled to finally be working in the classroom with students. In my spare time I enjoy doing things outdoors, particularly hiking and road cycling. I'm mindful of my health, stay pretty active, and am looking for someone of a similar persuasion. I also love films and am always looking for new suggestions, so be sure to let me know what are some of your favorites! I don't really know what else to say except I am looking for someone who makes me laugh and who I can be myself with.
