About Me

First, it seems my profile has been up here since I tried this out in 2006. I have just today joined back for 3 months (9/15/10). I hope I didn't offend anyone by not returning emails that have been here for a couple of years... About me: I have always been passionate about creative things- guitar (which has my biggest focus right now), dance (I was a dancer in my youth- ballet, tap, jazz), painting. I love music, photography and being outside in nature- mountains or ocean (though now I live near neither!). Aside from all of the creative, my career is in Accounting. Go figure. I enjoy my job as accounting manager at a school. I like to work out including yoga, spin, running, boot camp, boxing, cardio machines... I like to read about spirituality and lately that has consisted of many books on Buddhism. I took a hiking/meditation retreat at a Buddhist dharma center in Colorado. I am interested in self growth, understanding and trying to find my best self to put out there in the world. I'm pretty up front and honest and completely dislike anything fake, manipulative and dishonest. I don't care to "sell" myself but just put it out there, so to speak.Lastly, and I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but I see many references on this site to "God fearing" men and women. This is actually a frightening term for me to read. I would not describe myself as fearing God in any way, so if that is what you are looking for, I'm afraid I'm not the one for you. I am spiritual and feel proudly Jewish but I do wrestle with my personal beliefs when it comes to exactly who/what God is. Rabbi Kushner's book "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" really got to the point with me...
