About Me
I love the mystical side of Judaism, but regard it as worthless without the ethical side of Judaism. I love our people and our traditions, but I'm not a slave to tradition. I'm a regular at my synagogue. I don't think someone can be a Jew alone---it takes community. My Jewish life and identity are very important to me.

I'm active in Freemasonry, and have a lot of wonderful friends and brothers. I identify with Jewish Renewal as a movement, but my synagogue is post-denominational, and I like it that way. I like the writings of rabbis Art Green and Zalman Schachter-Shalomi.

I'm pretty much a geek except that I have a lot of non-geek friends and I'm comfortable outside of geek circles.

I own a very large dog. I'm very fond of her.
