About Me
The shortest distance between two people is a smile, and if you don't have one, I'll give you one of mine. I enjoy nature walks in the park, quiet intimate dinners in front of the fire, traveling to exotic ports of call, and just being with friends and family. I love listening to almost all kinds of music and dancing in the family room to the Eagles, the Beatles, etc., etc. I relish preparing dinner for a small group of friends. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with teaching degrees in speech pathology & English Literature. Earlier on, I was a speech therapist, but for the bulk of my career, have enjoyed being in Human Resources, running worldwide staffing organizations in Silicon Valley. There are so many stories to tell, and I would enjoy listening to yours. More recently, I have been a staffing consultant working for start-up companies, although things have slacked off as of late in this economy, so I have been following other pursuits. I have a Russian background with all of my grandparents emigrating from Belarus in the early 1900's. I was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where my parents were travel agents. I was so lucky to travel with them and my brother all over the world, and I still love to travel. Learning about other cultures broadens my kinship with those who have a different background from my own. I am hoping to find someone who may want to go on an African Safari with me or tour Israel or Egypt but am open to exploring any points of interest on your list. I enjoy trips to San Francisco to see a play or attend the symphony, and love the opera, but it is so much more meaningful when you have that special someone with whom to share new experiences.
