About Me
I am ambitious, motivated and friendly. I want my life to be an example of how to live fully and with meaning. Growing up, Judaism and Chassidus have given me a solid core belief system and perspective on the world, struggles notwithstanding, and as I develop my own outlook and personal refinement, I want to be able to share this with others. I tend to be very active, and I enjoy adventure, exploring, the outdoors and travelling. In addition to my adventurous side, I look forward to a warm and open home where guests are regularly welcome, my family feels comfortable and safe, and where we can grow together as a family. I am looking forward to being a provider for my family, an example and mentor for my children, someone they can look up to, and a completer for my wife. I believe that anything is possible, and that the world is waiting for us to realize our potential and spend our lives making it perfect.
A few years ago I followed my passion for inspiring young people and started a youth group for my local Chabad Rabbi, which I grew to 200 teens in 3 years. I was involved in the community and Israel as a board member of the North Shore Israel Fund through the Jewish Federation of the North Shore, and I spent a year and a half as the Director of Development and Program Director for a locally based nonprofit working to overcome cultural barriers. Before this I worked for a year in South Carolina with a Marine Biologist, and spent a year in Costa Rica as a resident naturalist, leading hikes through the rain forest and teaching tourists about the forest and its inhabitants.
I come from a functional home and a traditional Jewish family where Judaism was always a very important part of our lives. I have two younger siblings. My sister is a 26-year-old graphic designer living in Maryland, and my brother is 16, currently attending a private Jewish high school in Boston. We all grew up attending Jewish day school and spending our summers at a Jewish overnight camp. Our family holds Friday night dinner every week and has been members and regular attendees at Chabad of the North Shore for the past 19 years. My parents are happily married. My father, 56, is the Director of Global Business Development for a Biotech company, and my mother, 54, is an artist/therapist who is currently the founder and director of Artsbridge, Inc, an arts-based nonprofit working with Israeli and Palestinian teenagers.
I am looking forward to making Judaism a central part of my personal and family life, and the center of my children’s education. I want my home to be based around Chassidic values, and a place where my children will always know what is right and how valuable they are.
I currently work in sales and marketing. I keep a pretty busy schedule and work hard to make time for the things in life that are truly important.
