There is nothing I love more than adventure, and I like to find that adventure in everything I do, be it a trip to a new country or a trip to the ice cream shop. I consider myself a traveler, not a tourist, as I love going to new places not just to tour around the beautiful areas, but to learn as much as I can about the place, the people and the culture. The past 6 months have seen me traveling to Burma, Cambodia, China, Lao, Thailand and Vietnam doing research on education and protection for children in at risk communities. The only thing that makes traveling better is having someone fun to travel with! Though my research and work with at-risk children abroad seem very serious, please believe me when I say that I truly love to laugh, which I do easily and as often as possible. I basically live on the internet and enjoy the freedom of popular web-based email systems so I can stay in touch with my family no matter where I am in the world. I love the arts and have been involved in theater all my life, which took me on to improv comedy while I was in college. I find that creativity allows people from all different worlds and communities to communicate, so please be creative when getting in touch with me. For all my love of the arts and far off places, I am never happier than when I'm in Fenway Park watching my Red Sox play (and win?!) a game or at home in Hawai'i, enjoying a hike or a day at the beach. I guarantee that time with me is always entertaining and never run-of-the-mill.
