I’m new to the Bay Area, but not to urban life. After growing up in Manhattan, I moved to Portland, OR where I’ve lived for the last twelve years. Now, I’m excited to be here in the Bay Area, ready to experience urban life on a slightly larger scale without giving up the laid-back West Coast culture that I’ve grown accustomed to. I’m looking forward to exploring different neighborhoods and all the diversity this vibrant area has to offer, as well as discovering my new favorite parks, farmer’s markets and cafes.
You and I can explore ideas as well as exploring the city together. We can catch some good movies and take trips to the beach. In the summer, I love to be in the water, whether its swimming in a lake, inner tubing down a river, or wading in the ocean. I also enjoy quiet nights at home. I love to cook. Maybe one day I’ll make you my Veggie Pad Thai in peanut sauce. It's nice to linger over dinner and get lost in deep conversation.
I really enjoy Euro-style strategy board games such as Settlers of Catan, Puerto Rico and Hansa Teutonica. It’s also fun to play “Pictionary" with my friend’s sweet eight year-old daughter. I'm passionate about social justice and have donned a doctor’s costume to hand out cards promising the basic services of a national health care plan we don’t have, but should. As an animal lover, I can't resist petting strangers' dogs as I walk down the street. I'm interested in holistic health and have been a vegetarian since I was a kid, but I like omnivorous guys, too.
