About Me
Life has been full of surprises, twists and turns. I grew up mostly in the Bay Area, during the hayday of People's Park and peace demonstrations. I thought I had all of the answers...You know the drill... "I was so much older then I am younger than that now." I traveled through Europe and spent 5 incredible years in Israel as a young adult, then returned home to the states. I have lived in some of the greatest cities in the world, including New York, San Francisco and Jerusalem, but somehow I landed here in the raisin capital. I think back to my favorite memories and it's the smells that linger...the fresh smell of the ocean, the scent of Manzanita as you climb into the mountains, the smell of Sage on the desert, the sweet smell of my baby's head as my lips would fall on it. I love art and I enjoy reading literature and writing poetry. I also have a great love of music. My dad, now departed, was a musician. He didnt have much to leave in the way of material things but he left me the greatest gift of all...the gift of music. I can appreciate most any genre, especially Jazz, Folk and Classical, but also Classic Rock, New Rock and R&B. You might even catch me singing along to the likes of Lady GaGA or Katy Perry. I enjoy the never-ending drama of 4 grown daughters, as well as 2 grandchildren. I have family in San Jose, so I frequent the Bay Area quite a bit. One of my daughters will be moving soon down to the LA area, so will soon be visiting that area as well. I had married young and have been divorced for some years now. Being on my own after all these years has been challenging and sometimes scary but every day holds new adventure!
