About Me

Hi!. First of all I don't live in Seattle - I am in Boston. But these two towns are so close .... So I am flying to Seattle on Lag B'Omer ( May 16 ) to play some happy Jewish music for Chabad at University of Washington, Concert and barbeque , May 16, 5:00-7:15 pm, preceding the Stroum Lecture Series on Yiddish, at the he HUB lawn, University of Washington. You are invited - even if you don't like my profile . Admission is Free!. But... if you like my profile, we can meet - I'll have free time after the gig and the whole following day. ... and I can always change my ticket . I advertize myself as "Moishe from Russia", so you can find me. I am intelligent, honest, responsible, kind (I hope), good with kids, still some sense of humor left; dark hair and beard, look younger. I grew up in Moscow, which had it's toll, but immigrated to the United States some 18 years ago (which also had it's toll ). I value good family relationships very much. I have a Computer Science degree from Moscow and Music Degree (jazz piano) from Boston. Worked in music (traditional jazz and Jewish: Klezmer Hassidic and beyound) both in Russia and the States. (Acctually as far as Panama ). I teach piano as well - can give you a free lesson ). I have a very strong sense of Jewish identity. I am fascinated with old hassidishe shtibles (small synagogues) in Brooklyn with deeply emotional prayers and singing . I feel definitely Hassidic inside, however . I haven't found my Rebbe yet. What do I like to do in my spare time: visiting good friends, sitting in nice cafés, watching people pass by; enjoying nature, music (classical and jazz), art museums (in moderation ), circus, reading Wall Street Journal; walking nice streets . However It Is Not Fun To Walk The Streets alone . What I don't like: superficial people, fake righteousness, TV, dirty jokes, parents of rude children, getting up early in the morning, tax returns
