About Me

I have a confession to make...and my friends who are perusing this site will know right away what it is....but hold on...I am the oldest of five and the only boy. Some say "that explains a lot," and I'm just going to assume they mean that in a good way ;-). Whatever the case, I love my family and they are good, caring people and very important to me. I am from Montana, but have lived all over the world since I left at 18. I like fiction, and NPR, and the NY Times and Sports Center. I am disciplined about exercise and in very good shape. I love being with friends and eating and drinking and talking too much until too late at night. I am very smart. I feel lucky to be loved and liked and respected by a whole lot of people that I love, like and respect. I am charming, but in a kind way (I think). I have a done a lot of interesting things career-wise, and I love what I do now (I run an international development organization). I am curious. I am interested in history and politics and layman's science and international affairs and sports. I have been very fortunate to have gone to all the "right schools" worked at the "right places" etc...but hope I don't take that or myself too seriously. One of these years I'll get this cooking thing down. I am 44 and haven't been married but I'm pretty sure that I don't have a commitment problem (no, really!). I am a serial monogamist and have dated some really great women. I am affectionate and caring and thoughtful. I am steady and responsible. I love...er...physical intimacy. And I am...generally...pre tty humble....and...okay ....I'm not Jewish. Does that get me automatically kicked off J-Date? I'm Catholic. But I have dated lots of Jewish women and you know...
