I am Israeli but have lived in the States for a little over 10 years. My family is still in Israel, but I had some weird urge to explore the world. So where did I go? Columbus, OH! I mean, isn’t this the most exciting place there is??? The truth is I lived in Boston for a while, and I came to OSU for my doctorate. I am a 3rd year graduate student in the clinical psychology program here. The program is ok. I love psychology, but mostly what gets me through hard times in grad school are the friends I’ve made here. I’m a pretty sensitive person and value my relationships with people. Having close connections with people is something I thrive on. At the same time, I can also be pretty cynical. People are sometimes freaked out by my morbid humor, but what person grows up in Israel and does not have a morbid sense of humor!? I value honesty and sincerity and directness. I’m not very good at beating around the bush. I think that clear communication and validation of one another are both important in relationships. At the same time, it is important that each person have their own space in the relationship. I am pretty active. I do yoga, bike, love skiing (although I’m sad there’s not much of that in the Midwest), and I go to the gym pretty regularly. I hang out with my friends a lot. I would like to find someone I could be close with and share things with.
