About Me

I WANT THE BEST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED TO ME...AND TO BE THE BEST THING THAT'S EVER HAPPENED TO HER!"I'm tired of waitin' for tomorrow to come,Or that train to come roarin' round the bend.I got a new suit of clothes, a pretty red rose, and a woman I can call my friend.."--Bruce Springsteen. That pretty much sums me up: A guy who admittedly didnt expect to be here, has no interest in waiting for things to come to him, and still looking for that special woman I can call my friend...Yes I like roaring fires, walks on the beach, fine food and wine. That's a given. This profile is not about me, it's about finding a terrific, passionate woman to share my life and time with. Success and happiness extend far beyond achievement, financial rewards, position and fame. Success is radiating in the warmth of a partner who can bask in your glow, as I would in hers. Whatever a man thinks about what "place" he's in in his life, he is nowhere without a great woman by his side. For the record, my interests include reading, writing (am a professional writer), sports, movies, Golden Retrievers (I look at the dog before the person walking it!) exercise (weight lifting in particular) food and wine, and dancing. I am a New York Yankees fan virtually from birth, having been raised in The Bronx, and am a ridiculous devotee of Bruce Springsteen and doo-wop music. I have two grown children whom I dearly love and whom I am very close to. I enjoy intelligent debate about politics, policy and the issues of the day. I am an incurable romantic, am very emotional, expressive, demonstrative, kind and generous. P.S., my handle of "RosieForever" has been interpreted by some as misleadingly feminine; actually it's a reference to the song "Rosalita" by Bruce Springsteen. That song, for many old hard-core groupies as myself, is his signature work. P.PS...PLEASE NO FLIRTS...Please communicate with me directly
