About Me
I am an easy going guy who likes to see the world in a positive way. I like to be active and be around people. I have three grown children that I am very close to. I like to work and be busy. My life is not so busy these days but that is okay. I have time to meet new people and I am looking forward to the opportunity. I am pretty much up to date on current events, especially in the political arena and like dialogue about things related to politics, history, and so on. Disagreements are cool as long as there is respect for different ways of seeing things. I am very liberal politically but respect all viewpoints and the right to have those viewpoints. A good conversation is very stimulating
I am fairly hip, as they say, and try to engage myself in newer music and films and so on. I try to keep my mind fresh and not get mired down by the nostalgia and the 'looking back' of some of my peers. I have never been viewed as exceedingly odd and my habits and life choices are fairly straight forward. Still, I do often hear a different beat and often see the world in non stereotypical ways. I also tell my history and government students that one manner of looking at things political and historical is to find out what the conventional wisdom is and look at points of penetration. I do that in my view of much of life. I am usually affable nonetheless
