Favorite Beatle? - George. Just wanted to throw that out there. People say I'm funny - not sure if it's true. I laugh a lot but that would be caused by the funniness of others. I write and sometimes the output is amusing. I've cracked myself up a couple of times over my essays so I might possess some comedy. I do appreciate a well-developed sense of humor, so perhaps I have one, too. For one who has written several short memoir pieces, I shouldn't feel this uncomfortable talking about myself here. I'm tempted to say: But enough about me . . . /I can also be serious. I recently participated in the 2-day Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Boston. An event like that proves one can still have fun while fighting an unfunny adversary. One can even have fun walking endless miles in the rain - ten of those miles with a blister the size of Fenway Park - then sleeping on the ground and doing it again the next rainy day. Who knew? In all seriousness, I looked pretty funny - like a bad hair day gone horribly awry. The pictures from that weekend are not for public viewing./My favorite city is Seattle, thinking of relocating there - great bookstores and love the vibe! I'll need to meet new friends. Anyone up for correspondence?
