About Me

Ooh, so difficult to write about myself!! I'm genuine, direct and honest, and tell it like it is. I have a strong work ethic (will often exceed standard expectations to everyone's delight), and am loyal to family and friends. I'm an astute listener and people open up to me rather quickly - maybe because of my empathetic and sympathetic ear. A good poker player? Can't say that I am. I'm way too easy to read and show my emotions on my face. I work in a middle school and whenever a teacher says something remotely funny, the students look at me to see my reaction. They know that "Miss F" can't contain herself. I've been told that I'm compassionate, caring, kind, funny, polished, classy, and a natural with children. Reading books to or playing with my nephew is one of my favorite things to do. I've also been told that I look like I'm in my early thirties (I know I'll love that compliment twenty or thirty years from now). I often find myself playing "devil's advocate" when listening to a friend's story and even when the situation refers to me. I make attempts not to assume anything about anyone, and don't like to be judgmental. I have an outgoing, magnetic, and animated personality and am fun to be around. I'm on my school's Social Committee and enjoy planning events for the faculty and staff members. I love to cook and bake and would love to find a special someone to cook and bake FOR. My specialties? Chicken Soup, Chicken Piccata, Chili (no beans, though), Chilled Cucumber Soup, ice cream and sorbet, Kamish Bread, Banana/Choc. Chip Bread, Lemon Cake, Oatmeal Raisin cookies....hungry yet? Autobiographies, non-fiction and fiction are the genres I'm most likely to read. I like psychological thrillers, and though I'm a little over James Patterson, I'll admit that his books are riveting. TV shows and movies that you'll find me watching or are saved on my DVR: Modern Family, Dancing With The Stars (I am a great dancer and love watching others), Seinfeld (people tell me maybe once a week - STILL! - that I remind them of Elaine Benes.), Curb Your Enthusiasm (Leon and Wanda Sykes - enough said), Jeopardy, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Veep (get it? Elaine Benes? Veep? Hence the screen name?), Entourage (when it was on), the Food Network and My Cousin Vinny (I can imitate Mona Lisa Vito so well that you think you're watching her). You'll have to learn about my impersonation abilities later. My goal is to be as good as the talented Dana Carvey. My entire life, people have encouraged me to be on a stage performing in some capacity. You know how public speaking is on the general list of top five stressful situations? Not for me. I like playing and watching tennis, like watching ice hockey and basketball, but you won't find me having any patience for a televised football game or golf match. Bottom line? I'm looking for someone who will be my best, most trustworthy, dependable, intelligent, humorous (and handsome wouldn't hurt) friend. Aren't we all?
