Hi and thanks for taking the time to read my profile.
I would much rather discuss all of this over a beverage, but since you're here to figure out if you're even interested in meeting me, here's a little info.
I love to laugh but really, who doesn't. Look at a bunch of profiles and most everybody writes that. My brand of humor, unlike most, is typically from the "left field" and sometimes very silly. I figure I have to entertain myself somehow. That said, I like making others laugh as well. I’m not saying I’m funny. In fact lots don’t but then I don’t find them funny either. For me, clever humor is king. While I like ridiculous, stupid, adolescent humor, such only goes so far. Look at Monty Python, for example. A great deal of it is ridiculous and some adolescent but most is almost always clever.
I'm really just looking for someone to sharing my inner goof with.
I’m open-minded and enjoy learning new things so I hope you do too.
I like technology, history and nature like to know how things work or how they came to be.
Language and regional accents intrigue me. I learned a bit of Spanish in Costa Rica a few years ago, but am really only fluent in English.
Music is really important to me and I usually have something going in the background. I find it adds to my enjoyment and sometimes concentration. Life, for me, is a journey which requires a soundtrack. Some of the musical genre's I like are Classical, Jazz, Ambient-Techno, Trip Hop, Groove, Lounge, Old School Heavy Metal, Classic Rock, Folk, Blues, and Blue Grass. …Not a fan of Rap, most Country or Top 40 but can usually find something interesting about any type of music.
Traveling is fun but not nearly as interesting alone. I find it more enjoyable to have a somebody to talk and laugh with along the way. …Someone to share new places, art and culture, theories on this that and the other with.
Road tripping is more fun than flying because I can stop along the way and see things or places somebody else found important enough to make a sign about. Ever pass a “point of interest” sign on the highway and wonder what it’s all about? Anyhow, driving is fun and I don’t frown on a long drive to see something new.
Speaking of driving, I love driving and riding most anything motorized.
I love photography and used to really love to shoot black and white. With the advances in digital imagery, I found it more instantly gratifying.
I'm an animal lover and mostly a dog person. I have a beagle I love very much, though sometimes I think should have named her "Damnit".
I guess I’ve gotten past the discomfort of talking about myself and now it's your turn. I dare you to contact me and step outside your comfort zone.
Let’s get a non-intimidating cup of coffee, beer or glass of wine, and see what transpires.
p.s. In order for me to respond to your email, you must have a photo on your profile.
