About Me
Been in DC for a little more than a year now and enjoying my job as a fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. I'll likely be starting a PhD this fall, but will still be based on DC.
I'm a pretty laid back person and have a sarcastic sense of humor.
I love traveling and have lived in Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia. I would really like to go to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand. Summer travels: Lebanon and maybe back to Tunisia.
I enjoy writing, hiking, cycling (I used to race in undergrad), reading, and hanging with friends. Always down for trying a new beer, especially an IPA.
TV is definitely my guilty please. My favorite shows are Archer, the Americans, Game of Thrones, House of Cards, South Park, Community, Boardwalk Empire, and the Real World/the Challenge.
I'm a big sports fan so if you enjoy going to a game (football, basketball, baseball, or hockey) we'll get along.
Additionally, I really relish the opportunity to try new ethnic foods and really like Indian, Afghan, Ethiopian, and Texas BBQ.
