I grew up in Philly, did stand-up comedy, and work at Temple's Writing Center helping undergrads and for a nonprofit working with high school students while doing my Ph.D. program at Temple University. I do some sort of physical activity every day - biking, soccer, lifting/doing the elliptical at the gym, swimming. I'm not addicted or anything and if I don't get exercise one day that's ok, I just like to work out - it makes me feel good about myself. I like sports (soccer, football and hockey especially) but it's ok if I miss a game...with Philly sports sometimes I can't watch it hurts too much. 2 truths and a lie seems like a good way to end things:
1) I stripped on stage in front of 250 people
2) I have biked over 100 miles in a day
3) I have broken my nose three times playing soccer
