About Me
I recently moved here from Alaska. During my time in Juneau, I backpacked with brown bears, climbed glaciers, and watched the northern lights. I learned how to recognize the five types of salmon by taste and by sight. Like most women, I acquired more shoes -- snowshoes, xtratuffs, and yak traks. Since moving back to Sacramento, I have rediscovered the joys of sunlight, farmers’ markets, and the Sierra foothills. I spend my days fighting global warming, urban sprawl, and hazardous waste contamination; I spend my evenings at boot camp, yoga, or chasing my kittens around the house. Or, if I am feeling a little lazy, I love to curl up on the sofa with a glass of wine and a good book or dvd. I would like to meet someone with a spirit of adventure who will encourage me, challenge me, laugh with me, and who doesn’t mind that I don’t own a television.
