I was born and raised in San Francisco--except for my university stint in NYC. When not teaching, I love trying new restaurants in and around SF, can be found working on my recipe blog, or taking a salsa class. This joy I find while twirling on the dance floor was discovered while working on my masters degree and looking for a mode to relax.I came to realize that an hour salsa dancing and twirling on the dance floor can completely change ones day.
I am half Ashkenazi and Sephardic (so I can eat rice on passover!), and I can appreciate the perfect matzah ball soup as well as a killer couscous. I crave spice—in life and in food. My friends say I have a hand gesture to match every situation : )
