My name is Frank. I live in Western Mass (Chicopee), where I work as a Senior Research and Development engineer. My work puts products into the hands of clinicians that save lives, so it is both challenging and very rewarding. I work with a great team of dedicated folks and my company is a leader in the healthcare arena. If you’ve ever been to Fenway Park you probably can guess the name of my company.
Beyond work, I’m a parent to my daughter, age 11 and son, age 12. They attend school in Amherst and I’m very proud of their accomplishments and look forward to seeing them mature and become wonderful adults. They are both wonderful kids and I feel that my children are the center of my life at this time. I enjoy reliving my childhood through the eyes of my children; this is one of the unexpected joys, especially when kids hit their early teens.
When I have alone time I enjoy thinking about and creating music. I’ve played the guitar (self-taught) since I was a boy, and I’ve been making songs for all of my life. I never had the patience for formal lessons and I don’t read music, but I was voted “Most Musical” in high school. I play the guitar, congas, a little piano, harmonica, trombone, bass, (you get the picture). I played with more intent a few years ago, mostly at coffee shops and small venues. I may get back into playing the folk circuit again, but for now I just enjoy keeping a type of musical blog on Soundcloud. I have followers from across the world, which is really nice. My music tends to focus on spiritual themes and I also write topical pieces. I also like to make instrumental pieces that allow the listener to form their own images from the music. Music is something far beyond what I listen to on the radio, I really think that it can heal and be quite profound in people’s lives.
