I am a very well educated and read Chicagophile. I find spending hours in a library or on the Internet or wandering around Chicago (I am an architecture buff - good region to wander) a far better form of entertainment than 95% of what is available on TV or at the movies. Good conversation, however, beats out the Internet, library and the wandering around Chicago three times out of four. That doesn't stop me, however, from getting misty during either the sad or joyous parts of some of the more successfully manipulative (read effective) Hollywood director's works. In my entire life, I have never been bored. Ever. Love kids. Got two (boys, grown - groan?) Love dogs and cats. Keep fit. Annoyed by ignorance, more so by stupidity. No fan of Bush. Think Jimmy Carter was possibly the worst US President in the 20th century (Yes, worse than Hoover or Nixon!) and liked both Clinton and Reagan. Go figure.
