I'd like to think I'm a renaissance man, but perhaps I'm just a dilettante. (Of course, I'd like to think of myself as modest and unpretentious, too, but re-reading the remainder of this profile makes me question that as well!) I've skiied across Yellowstone (before Gore-tex) and studied at the Sorbonne. Can install a sink and wire a room or participate (you might say BS) in esoteric discussions of Bauhaus architecture or free radicals (chemical or political). Love art museums and concert halls as well as indie cinema and even the occasional Irish pub. Intent on learning things for the rest of my life (or, even better, our lives). I love outdoor activities, too, and I'm much more likely to take a hike than watch a game. I think most everyone perceives me as a nice guy, still affected by my Midwestern roots--thoughtful, empathetic, appreciative, sensible, calm and collected (but a bit more sophisticated, open-minded, and passionate than the stereotype, I hope). I know I'm a good dad, and raising my twelfth-grader daughter well is both a duty and a delight (well, most of the time). If you're energetic, full of intellectual curiousity, relatively even-tempered, think of yourself as sexy (or recognize that others do), have a full life but want to share it with a special person, and know how to communicate about the important things, I hope to hear from you. Almost forgot: I'm not Jewish. I went to a Presbyterian Sunday school, lost faith in religion generally and found existentialism more consistent with my thinking, married a Jewish woman and before that had a years-long relationship with another--in short, I am not religious, but I can appreciate it if you are.
