Everything you want to know about me is written in one book: the dictionary. Well, I didn't say the words were in order. So here's the Cliff's Notes: I'm a sensitive, compassionate, understanding man who is in touch with his feelings. I’m assertive when necessary, but kind when possible. I wear my heart of my sleeve unless greater control is required. * I can find a joke in just about everything. Even in moments of personal darkness, I somehow find a way to laugh. * I possess a quiet strength. I speak my mind clearly and rationally. When necessary, my eyes alone tell people I mean business. I learned from the best – my mother. * I am a full-time parent to a wonderful son. He is my greatest joy, and I like sharing that joy. I am extremely proud of him, and proud to be not just a father, but a daddy. * I’m also proud to be a tech geek. "Geek" in this context means intelligent and capable. I’ve been writing programs since I was 9. * I have a performer's streak. In high school and college, I acted in numerous theater productions. I also performed stand-up comedy in college, and people actually laughed. *With* me, not *at* me. * I enjoy wordplay and occasionally, I write. I am fierce about proper grammar. Most irritating non-word: “irregardless.” * This might seem hard to believe, but I don't follow sports. I’ll watch a game with friends, but only as a social event. * I'm not perfect, yet I can be very demanding of myself. I am trying to come to grips with simply "being human." * I believe in finding the truth, even if it isn't pleasant. * I like the outdoors, but I draw the line at camping. * Most children and small animals implicitly trust me. I think I might have latent superpowers. * I have read Terry Pratchett's Discworld series and many of Isaac Asimov's works. I can recite the Three Laws of Robotics by heart. Bonus points if you can quote the lesser known Zeroth Law. * Lego bricks hold a special place in my heart... and on the closet shelf.
