I am a literary person, a retired academic caring for an aging mother. I can't be too serious about marriage now. I'm a "Jewish grandmother." My daughter is a convert and has 3 beautiful very Jewish children. I was raised Protestant and have two other children, both converts to Catholicism and between them, they have 3 children, one a special needs child. I have just retired and moved to Michigan to be near the special needs grandchild and to help my mother. Because of her recent illness, I am very homebound and lonely. My friends are in other states, as are my other children. I am interested in biblical studies and have found Judaism very interesting. I attend services when I visit the older daughter and her family; I went to my grandson's Bar Mitzvah. I do pray and have religious beliefs but I will not try to covert anyone to Christianity. I made a trip to Israel with my daughter and her famiy 2 years ago and fell in love with Jerusalem. At this point I'd just like to make some friends; I'm in no position to marry or evey travel. If any one is in the Western Michigan area, I might enjoy a coffee date or such.
