About Me
I am a Supervisor for a Social Services agency (Children's Protective Services). I enjoy warm, dimly lit restaurants with good fine and wine and being so lost in conversation that we don't realize three hours have past. I love independent films, last saw "The Visitor," which was a bore. I am an art enthusiast and enjoy art gallery tours of Chelsea as well as Met "classical art" exhibitions. I love being absorbed in a compelling book, just finished "Beautiful Boy," by David Sheff, which was wonderful, and harrowing. I go to the gym occasionally, am getting a bit into running, and am interested in getting back into tennis. I enjoy cooking (not a good cook) and travel shows on TV (I hardly go anywhere). And yes, I'm addicted to "American Idol," but am in a 12-step program hoping for recovery. ("If there's a cure for this, I don't want it!" Remember that Diana Ross song?) Judaism and being Jewish are meaningful to me, though I'm largely non-practicing. Years ago, trying to find myself, I did the ba'al teshuva thing and although I didn't stick with it, I did find great meaning and beauty in Judaism, so I would be open to being observant with a partner.
