Sunday afternoons I can be found on my yoga mat, looking peaceful while silently hoping I won't fall on my head. Although national security's my field now, I'm still an idealistic anthropology major at heart. I'm rather obsessed about reading the news (any form - I love academic blogs too) and I flirted with journalism in the past. I listen to nuevo flamenco and Colombian music (true to my roots) and my favorite instrument is the acoustic guitar (nope, can't play it). DC is a decent (rainy) city, but I'll always be a New Yorker - I tend to hang out in Rock Creek Park on weekends pretending it's Central Park. I enjoy my work, I like to talk politics and I'm quite unapologetic about speaking my mind. I'm impressed by confident, gutsy guys who are not afraid to walk up to a girl and strike up a conversation because something caught their eye.
