Sept/09 - Taking a break from JD. Being on here was about a voyage of self-discovery, finding my voice again as a single woman, after a 25 year marriage. In the process I learned about men again too (Vol. 1. is at the printers:)) In time, I learned that Laughter, Perspective, and not taking it too Seriously, help. In the main, I met good decent men, who although not right for me, will be right for someone else. The best advice I got on here was - meet sooner, rather than later to discern chemistry/compatabil ity. At the time, I thought this brusque and cold. But the truth is you can like the look of each other, seem a good or even perfect match on paper, and in cyberspace - then meet and not have that elusive chemistry. Overall what did I discover? Simple things - I know and like who I am, know what I want in a relationship, and I could not settle for less than I am prepared to give....(to be cont'd.). Last, but not least...I believe in some immutable truths, here is one.... Be "AUTHENTIC"....make morally courageous choices.. Good Luck and Happy New Year:)
