I have considered myself Jewish since my youth but finally underwent the long process of an orthodox conversion during adulthood. I do not fit well within any one stream of Judaism I am a mix of modern orthodox and more progressive leanings, along with an abiding affection for the history and origins of Chassidic Judaism. The practice of my own faith is firmly rooted in the idea and practice of Tikkun Olam. I am politically progressive and have been active in politics for many years. I am an avid reader, bibliophile, thoroughly enjoy poetry and writing, am intellectually curious, an American political history buff, kind-hearted, a loyal friend, I enjoy good conversation and I love to laugh. My humor does often lean toward sarcasm. I have four grown sons (two married) and three grandchildren who live near me and I enjoy being a part of their lives. I love life and after not dating for many years have come to realize that I miss having that special someone with whom I can share my life.
