I think men generally are more narrowly adaptive to women than women are to men. so we project whether we can really be ourselves long-term. doesn't reflect poorly on the women sometimes when we just know it isn't a good fit.similarly, women may discontinue seeing a guy if there isn't instant chemistry. that may be self-defeating because good men with substance don't open up immediately and put on a fireworks display of conversation.
