About Me
I'm full of contradictions. I'm a good listener and also a good storyteller. I'm serious and not --both dark and lighthearted. I feel things deeply but am overall *quite* gregarious. I guess that's to say I think I have my priorities in line about where I should place my time and energy, and what can be laughed off....and laughed off loudly, with relish. It doesnt take much to make me happy. Some good company, a delicious meal, sparkling conversation, a really fantastic song, a gorgeous sunrise at a moment when the whole world seems to be sleeping.
On a lighter note, I definitely dish it out a little but I can take it in return. I take notice of small details and have been known to break into random British accents. I lived in Italy for a few months and traveled throughout Europe. I love aquatic life and aspire to learn how to scuba dive. I love to bake, I'm a huge Queen/Freddie Mercury fan, kinda spunky and absolutely not in need of babysitting during social events. I love hosting big dinner parties, where there's always room for one more. I'm warm, open, very expressive, inclusive and inquisitive. In general, I place a lot of value on fun, and that can be had in doing anything from making up stories about strangers to going backpacking through South America.
I have a Bachelors in Art History and a Masters in Social Work. I think that's relevant to who I am.
Some interests include: the aquarium, cooking/baking, going for long walks to nowhere in particular, reading about old people (NYT's "new old age" blog), documentaries, palindromes.
Some things I like: peaches, all things French/Italian/Spani sh, Jack Black, seeing live art (plays, music, etc.), picnics, hearty laughs, the ocean, dogs.
