The band "The Byrds" was invited to play at Woodstock but turned it down. Bassist John York later said they felt foolish for missing out. It makes you wonder how much of life is recognizing the opportunities when they arise and choosing the right ones. I'm over 30 and hoping that I'm at a beginning filled with potential opportunities. It seems that recognizing them is the real challenge in life. I don't think this means I need to jump out of a plane or even run a marathon to make the most of life, I think that with the right person, even the seemingly most casual moments can be important.
