I'm a pretty good pick-up basketball teammate. I think setting people up to score is more challenging than a reverse layup. I can still throw a decent fastball. One of my students recently called me the "nicest, best teacher in the whole world." I also really like singing backup vocals to my favorite records.
Symbolic traits and snapshots aside, I spent much of my early 20's traveling throughout America and parts of Europe as a musician, before deciding to relocate to Boston to study history.
Above all, I'm a proud and passionate educator. I tend to listen to a lot of public radio, especially when I cook. I love horror movies, and involuntarily jumping out of my seat. I've also recently admitted to myself that sports can be as cool and transcendent as some of my favorite records and books - as long as the Giants show up to play, and the Yankees are beating the Red Sox. Nothing means more to me than my relationship with my family, and hopefully you feel the same.
