I am from NY and have been happily living in Colorado for 30 years. I grew up in a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright community near NYC with my wonderful family and group of friends who I am still close with today. I went to college in Ohio and graduated with a few degrees, Mechanical Engineering and Business. I was a skier at a young age and at age 20, I was on a 400 mile cross country expedition from the Arctic Circle north to the Arctic Ocean. The minus 50 degree weather and relentless wind allowed me to learn a few things about life and myself. If you are interested, I will tell you about them when I see you.
After college, I moved to Colorado, started and launched a family, and have been working in resort management ever since. Currently I work in the public policy arena managing a few NGO’s, and manage a Resort Village at the base of a ski area. I love my work, my staff, and life. I also practice architectural design as a side business, more for fun then anything else. My architecture style is definitely FLW influenced and I love to study, visit, touch, and talk about great architecture.
I have two grown daughters, who now live full time in the L.A. area. I love being a dad, always did. It’s probably the thing in my life that I excelled at most and I am very proud of my daughters and the great women they have become. I am in the process of writing a book about raising kids, focused on the first 6 years of life with a number of chapters/sections devoted to the importance of the dad’s role in parenting. Love to talk about this subject too.
Even though I am a very relaxed guy in my daily life, I am internally competitive and appreciate the power of commitment, focused passion, and excellence. I enjoy competitive sports such as tennis, golf, biking, skiing, windsurfing, and sailing, and I am a good and patient teacher, in case you have the desire but need a few private lessons! I love to travel: quiet exotic beach destinations, cool cities where we can walk at night and eat great food, check out music, museums, and experience something new. I am open to anything that we can explore together.
I am excited to find my best friend, lover, and life mate. I am a happy, energetic, active, healthy (never had addictions or substance abuse), intellectual, creative, committed, and thoughtful guy. I am a giver and want to find someone who also considers herself one too. I like to laugh at myself especially at all the stupid things we do, so I laugh at myself often. I am looking for someone who can also laugh at herself, doesn’t take herself too seriously, a woman who likes to wear that sophisticated black cocktail dress with heals as well as hang out in sweats with no makeup kicking around the house, building a garden, or going out for a morning bike ride. I want to know who you are day by day, and I want you to stay curious about me too.
I hope I conveyed enough about me to pique your interest, love to hear about you.
