About Me

Hello! I have decided to take a different approach to my profile and begin by telling you what I am not and then what I can bring to a relationship. Here’s hoping that the following description helps me find the one who wants to find me… I am not one who needs to be the center of attention nor do I thrive on drama. I am not in need of someone to sweep me off my feet or provide spontaneity at every turn. I do not require someone to fill a void in my life. I am not your average girl. I bring many things to the table for my future partner. I am patient, nurturing, caring, even-tempered, optimistic, and hardworking. I am a great listener and my friends often come to me for advice. I have a stable, challenging job that I enjoy, where I get to work with both data and people. I really enjoy math and love exploring its applications. In that respect, I'm probably a bit of a geek. Balancing the analytical nature of my career, I enjoy many facets of the arts: music, dance, painting, and poetry to name a few. I have played the cello for many years and am a member of a local orchestra in Charlotte. I absolutely love this part of my life. Finding another music lover would be wonderful. In my spare time, I like meeting up with friends for food, games, and exploring new places. I love to relax by sitting down with a good book (historical fiction and fantasy are my favorite genres). I grew up in Philadelphia and moved to Charlotte in 2009. My family still lives in Philly and I am very close with them. Moving back to that area would not be a stretch for me. Family is a very important part of my life. I really enjoy what Charlotte has to offer but I am not anchored here. I am lucky enough that I can do my job from anywhere so would be willing to relocate for the right guy. I know that my bashert might not live in my backyard!
