About Me
I'd like to take a different approach to writing the "about me" section of my profile. We're asked to sit down and write a description about ourselves in one session. But are we ever one person with an entire understanding of who we are? Aren't we a multiplicity? Happy, sad, hopeful and desperate? Therefore, I want to express what's on my mind at the moment The act of giving.
I can't pretend to know everything. I can just express what I understand at this moment. To give is an act of receiving. To give is the greatest thing we can do for ourselves. What goes around, comes around is a wonderful statement that I think is misunderstood. It's not an act of vegence. If we are all connected, then when we give, whether it's a gift, a kind word or a gesture of love, we recive that gift in the exchange. I think it's so important that we understand what it means to consider the other, known or stranger. And I am far from perfect. I can only practice.
Those are my thoughts for the moment. Oh, and I like good food, walks on the beach and things that make you laugh so hard, the sip of water you took comes out your nose.... and Seinfeld... and Fareed Zakaria podcasts... and good red wine.
