I am friendly and outgoing,--definitel y a "people person," sensitive, artistic and musical, and enjoy activities that involve the arts. A retired teacher with two masters degrees, I also have loved participating in regional theater productions on Long Island. (Didn't quite make it to Broadway!) I have sung with the Berkshire Music Festival, the Palm Beach Choral Society-- and, oh yes, for a short time, the Long Island Opera Company. I play tennis four times a week.. it's fun, and great exercise. I also do Pilates training and/or go to the gym. Family and good friends are very important to me. I enjoy traveling, and have visited many interesting countries in Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. I have visited Prague and Israel, (July 2012) and have to say it was truly the trip of a lifetime...I hope to return again, and wish everyone could visit this amazing country--so full of our history...and to see the accomplishments of this tiny, beautiful country is simply amazing--- it should be a source of great pride for us all. My most current visit out of the country was to Ireland, summer 2014.
I am fairly accomplished at portrait painting, my most important hobby, and continue to study this fascinating form of artistic expression. If you peek carefully behind me in one of my photos, you can see one of my paintings, which I did for friends of mine on the occasion of a granddaughter's bat mitzvah. Coco, my cute little Labradoodle, and I enjoy being in the company of friends who are kindhearted, balanced, emotionally and financially secure, intelligent, and have a great sense of humor. Laughter gets us through some of the challenges we face in life, don't you think? That, some good music, a glass of wine and interesting conversation can make for a pleasant meeting. I view life with a positive outlook, and look forward to what each new day may bring.....I am definitely a " glass-is-half-full person" and hope you are, too.
Thanks for reading my profile, and look forward to hearing from you. So, don't be shy.
