Update: “Oz the Great and Powerful” starts next month, looks like a great movie. I will also be competing at the North America Cup Fencing tournament next month. So on to my dating site advertisement: I am a caring and hopelessly romantic guy. Some people seem to think I have a unique sense of humor (too much exposure to British humor, such as Monty Python and Black Adder). I am constantly learning and exploring. Case in point, a little over 8 years ago, decided to learn how to fly and now I am a flight instructor. I started fencing about a year ago. Fencing is a very challenging sport for both your body and mind (like a physical chess game). I competed in the Summer Nationals held in Anaheim (end of June) and recently competed in Milwaukee. My goal is very basic: “not to be last” and I have been succeeding. After spending over two decades in the Navy, I am working on my second career in the IT community. While in the Navy, I spent a great time exploring the world. I was stationed overseas for many years (London and Naples) and visited other countries while on deployments. It was a wonderful time expanding my exposure to other cultures and their history. London was a great place to live, being able to visit the various museums and seeing the original “Phantom of the Opera” musical. On weekends, I spend my time providing flight training for new pilots, participating in fencing tournaments, traveling out to the desert while talking to people around the world using Ham Radio, or just generally goofing off around the house.
