About Me
I am an active woman who loves life and sees the glass half full. I enjoy people which is has enhanced my career as a real estate agent with Long Realty Company. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts degree and taught school until I had children.I am originally from the midwest (chicago area) and moved to Tucson in 1976. I love Arizona but could most likely be happy wherever I lived.I have 3 grown daughters and a grandson (8 years old). They all returned to my roots and live in the midwest. Family is very important to me and I have an very close relationship with my children, my brothers, their wives and my nieces and nephews. I enjoy travel, snow skiing, scuba diving, hiking, movies, reading, dancing and and love to cook. Being 50% Jewish and 50% Italian, I do not want to brag but I think my cooking is enjoyed by all who partake. One of my favorite evenings is having friends over for dinner.I have actually written a book which is still in the computer "Matzah Balls Marinara". It is not a cookbook. It is a cathartic expression of what is what like to grow up in a midwestern city of around 100,000 people with an Italian mom and a Jewish dad. Half of my cousins were Catholic and the other half were Jewish. My identity as a child was somewhat conflicted and the book takes one through the joys I experienced having parents with different cultural backgrounds and the difficulties of being part of a minority growing up having being raised Jewish in a very conservative community. As an adult, I am very proud of both of my heritages and feel I am a person who is very confident in many different settings and with diversity. I also feel giving back to the community is very important and have been very active throughout the years in philanthropic causes.
