About Me

I'm an authentic and genuine man who still delights in having a childlike wonder of the world. I have an adventurous mind and joy in my heart. I am fun and funny, so funny in fact, that if you "get" me, I will bring you to your knees in laughter, tears of guffaws cascading down your cheeks and unidentified funny stuff gurgling in your nose. I have a strong social conscience. I believe in helping others. I have a passion for learning, for creating beauty, for random acts of kindness. I value friendship and loyalty. I do what I say I'm going to do I can be counted on. I thrive on deep conversation and witty repartee. I'm incredibly bright and street savvy. I find joy in the specialness of what others term "commonplace." I'm a great and loyal friend, and an empathetic listener. I will be your head cheerleader and champion. I'm an affectionate man who enjoys showing that affection. I believe in handholding. I believe in slow dancing. I believe in soft, wet, long, stop the world kisses. I believe in secret whispers. I believe in companionable silences. I hunger for intimacy and monogamy. I want a relationship where understanding, trust, and love reach an indescribable, even spiritual depth. I want someone just like me, only different.

I teach photography at a university. I make photographs all over the world. I've done two books and my work is in museums, both in the U. S. and Europe. I'm continually fascinated by the human condition and have a huge appetite for learning about new cultures. I've led photography safaris to East Africa, and photo workshops in Morocco, Peru, Italy, Ireland, and Spain. I have a good sense of proportion as evidenced by the fact that I successfully began every sentence in this Intro with a personal pronoun. Except this one, which isn't actually a sentence.
