About Me
Life can often be very serious in the professional world day to day, and it is a moral imperative to balance all that with playing. Hiking or biking or camping a lazy wander around a city, eating wherever and checking out whatever. Indoors works too: live theater and music, sharing time and often a meal with friends (Chinese is almost always a safe bet, but anything goes really), reading, and some travel. Getting into photography a bit recently. What I haven’t done enough of lately is cook with friends something I love to do, and then share in what we’ve created, sitting back smiling, filled with more than food. Movies are a good fallback. Not a lot of T.V., but when I do watch lately I’ve been into Big Bang Theory, How It’s Made, Dexter, CNN. Favorites on my MP3 are Béla Fleck and Cello and a range of classical and Dylan and Herbie Hancock, African World Music to blues and jazz. Mostly NPR in the car. Love pets, any kind, though fish are tough to cuddle with. My family lives at a distance, but we stay connected.
