About Me
I am a Chicago-born girl, now settled as a graduate student in New Haven. I've also lived in Northern California, New York, and Jerusalem.
I love coffee and bookstores, walking while looking up not down, and choosing the most bizarre thing on any menu. As my mom puts it, I'm studying to be a doctor... just not the kind that helps people. Instead I can read four dead languages and counting. But I also like to read modern things: books, blogs, the Atlantic.
My love for ancient things has given me a great excuse to travel, but really, adventures can find you anywhere. I’ve danced the hokey-pokey in Yiddish with my boss, cooked red wine risotto for fifty (with extra wine to bribe my assistants, of course), and canoed down the Mississippi River in the rain.
I’m attracted to people who are passionate about what they love, whether it’s food or film or physics. Teach me something new. I am a pretty good listener, and appreciate the same. If you’re kind, funny, and even a bit nerdy, I bet we'll get along.
