I have recently returned from Israel where I rode 300+ miles on my bike from Jerusalem to Eilat as part of a fund raiser for the Arava Institute and Hazon. I consider myself to be a bit left of center and I believe in self determination. You are the master of your life. Education is the highest priority. Debate ought to be mandatory subject matter in all schools. I am facinated about archaeology, science, architecture, history and genealogy. I lived in Israel on kibbutz Sde Yoav (hence my screen name) in my youth. I have lived in Kansas City most of my adult life but I spend a lot of time in San Diego and the West Coast and would love to relocate there or to the southwest. I have an entrepreneurial spirit so I am adventuresome at heart, but can also easily lay low. I am at a crossroad and am looking to craft a new life for myself which will include a new best friend. I am a kind and generous soul and God save me from ever having to write these things again. The truth is I am a Jew from the midwest who grew up conservative and with midwestern values. I have obviously lived abroad on a number of occasions so my horizons were widened at a young age. I bring with me that collective experience, tempered with a desire for a solid relationship and with those lessons I've learned along the way.
