About Me
I probably look like the average young, attractive, somewhat cosmopolitan woman, but come across as a total nerd the moment I open my mouth. I am also a little bit of a hippie chick. I have practiced yoga on and off for about 13 years, and I gravitate towards wholesome vegetarian foods, although I am not a vegetarian (more like meat/animal product reducer). I love nature and like to take the time to enjoy the natural beauty we are fortunate to have in the Atlanta metro area. Hiking by the Chattahoochee is one of my favorite things to do on a nice warm day. I do not own a TV -- admittedly, I do watch some shows and movies on my computer, but in general I prefer to get out of the house and actually do things or read than engage in the typical American past-time of staying glued to a screen. I am that girl at the supermarket who puts 50 reusable bags on the conveyor belt when I have 2 bags worth of groceries. I do not like to listen to contemporary popular music (or other things that seem to be popular like country music or hip-hop), and instead prefer old favorites from the 90's and earlier, more on the indie side of things. Oh, and I come from a family of singers and can belt out a mean Total Eclipse at karaoke. You can probably tell by now I am an NPR listener, although maybe it takes one to know one. Spiritually, I am in the process of seeking the ideal fusion of traditional Judaism and the sort of new age spirituality that I have become more aligned with over the years. It is an ongoing process that I will probably continue to negotiate for my entire life. I am physically younger than my years (I get mistaken for a student at the school I work at), but an old soul.
