I am an enthusiast--sincere, funny, witty, intellectual, courageous, and a loyal friend. I am blessed with a community of wonderful friends.
I try to live to the fullest. I know from experience how precious life is, that everything you thought you know can change in an instant, and how important it is to tell the one you love that you do each and every day. What I have learned from unexpected loss is to "be here now" and to live with an open heart and great gusto. So, yes, I cherish the sun through the autumn leaves, the peace (and even the marmots) of high mountain lakes, the majesty of the Canadian Rockies, the turquoise of the Taos sky, camping under the stars at Sand Dunes, the folk art in the Girard Collection, belly laughs listening to the Firesign Theater, and the sensual delight of good food and wine. I love to travel, but treasure quiet time home, peaceful, mellow.
We all have "a back story." But how has experience has changed us, deepened us as human beings? I am looking for someone to share the solace of ordinary pleasures and the thrill of extraordinary ones. A good cup of coffee a trip to the Botanic Gardens a wander through Open Studios a hike to Calypso Cascades. I am looking for a man who laughs easily (do you like Stewart, Maher, Colbert, and Brooks--Mel and Albert) is self-confident and curious and is able to balance a sense of peace with a sense of adventure. Sense of peace is a tall order--but worth striving for, yes?
