About Me
Very little could tell you more about me than an overrated/underrated list of everyday things. I’m fully prepared to defend these claims, but am definitely open to amend should someone make the case.
Movie-Drama: OR – The Social Network/UR – Amistad
Comment: Do yourself a favor and watch/rewatch Amistad. Not really interested? It has Matthew McConaughey in it (although thankfully, this is a rare one in which he keeps his shirt on.)
Movie-Comedy: OR – Anchorman/UR – Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Comment: Yes, Anchorman was a good movie. Is it the next generation’s Ferris Bueller, Spaceballs or Airplane??? No. It does not belong in the same category as the Hangover, Old School and Wedding Crashers.
TV Show: OR – House/UR – Californication
Comment: House started out good… until I figured out that every episode was exactly the same. Obviously great shows that are appropriately rated include: Curb, Seinfeld and Big Bang Theory.
Side Dish: OR – Mashed Potatoes/UR – Brussels sprouts
Comment: I can’t think of a vegetable that had a worst reputation when I was a kid than Brussels sprouts, yet they are delicious.
Dessert: OR – Generic Chocolate Cake/UR – Pie
Comment: I enjoy chocolate cake as much as the next person, but it has to stand out in some way. Pie, on the other hand and of virtually any form, is at least as tasty as cake, yet is not nearly as prevalent.
