Happiness is the ultimate goal of all the things we do, whether the happiness is our own, communal, or a gift to another person. Sharing experiences with others elevates the potential and possibilities that life offers. My idea of a good time includes plenty of laughter, good conversation, and egoless comfort. I love live entertainment of all kinds, scenic car rides to cool places, outdoor recreation, the arts, and being around free-thinking people. Intelligence is attractive and makes joking around more fun.
I would describe myself as naturally curious, grateful, appreciative, humble, creative, and generally optimistic. My value system is rooted in honesty, dignity, compassion, and trying to be considerate of others and the environment. I also have a well-developed sense of humor that ranges from dry and sarcastic to silly and outrageous. Sometimes I get OCD about things and friends make fun of me for it. I try to be patient with others because sometimes I need others to patient with me.
Mornings start with a choice cup of fair trade organic coffee piping hot from my press. I really enjoy good coffee, food, beer, and cabernet sauvignon. By “good” I don’t just mean the taste, but the process behind the product. I’m a member of a food co-op and happen to live in a place that supports local agriculture and restaurants that serve locally grown. When shopping for myself I only buy humane certified or kosher meat. If I’m eating out I will generally be vegetarian or eat fish if I can’t be sure the meat is righteous. When I’m a guest at someone’s house I compromise to be polite and respectful.
I enjoy the outdoors during every season. Some of the things I enjoy are snowboarding, hiking, snowshoeing, cookouts, leisurely strolls, napping in my hammock, concerts, festivals, the ocean, and so much more.
Family is important to me. I’m fortunate to have a family and extended family that gets along well. My sister is my closest relative and I love her very much. I enjoy being an uncle to my nephew’s and niece. I hope to start a family of my own. My family taught me Jewish values, customs, and religious rituals that are important for me to continue for future generations.
Watching hockey on TV and attending games is also something I enjoy. Go Bruins! If you enjoy the game that’s great, if you’re a Bruins fan even better, if you’re willing to watch with me that’s totally cool, and if you have your own must watch/do personal thing I’ll support you in it.
There's a lot more to me than I can write in this profile, so email me if you would like to learn more.
