Hello, and wellllcommme to my profile. I'm Alex. I moved from Seattle to Gainesville four years ago for grad school--I'm working on my Ph.D. in Management, which is like the intersection of psychology and business. I tend to write a lot. Most days I spend researching, teaching, learning, running, and reading...soaking up sunny days makes me happy. I'm affectionate. I'm a typical guy who likes sports and action. I'm an atypical guy in that I am highly dependable, thoughtful, smart, attentive and driven. I want to make my girl feel pretty. I enjoy wine but vainly choose bottles by their cool label. I have never said "lol" in text until just now. Sometimes I feel cursed for self-awareness. I know lots of things, but isn't wisdom also recognizing you probably really don't know anything? Socrates FTW. I want a yacht someday. I have a hammock--it's rad. I'm pretty social and have a wide range in my sense of humor. Fresh air and nature are good. Bike rides are great. For me, some of the best humor lies in the subtle little quirks around us...well, I can't think of one right now (TBD). But anyways, I think attraction can grow from something like that--something tiny or silly, but shared between two people. Yet sometimes you just *know*. I hope my profile doesn't come across as too serious. "I used to not like beards, but then, they grew on me"--heyooo. I like doing good deeds. Few things can make me really upset: not showing appreciation is up there. I have to believe in Karma. Lobster is the only food I prefer not to eat out of ethicality. I buy a lot of stuff on Amazon--mostly books. I'm nice and hope to meet someone nice.
